BRITNEY SPEARS "FEMME FATALE" ALBUM REVIEW

“The bitch is back and better than ever!” said Britney Spears as she was interviewed by V magazine on her upcoming 7th album “Femme Fatale”. She also went on to describe this album as her best work yet, and upon listening, we must say we agree! The 12 track set is the follow up to Britney’s comeback album “Circus” which was released in 2008. Following the success of 2009’s “3” which debuted at #1 on Hot 100, Britney keeps the fire rolling with “Hold It Against Me” the first single lifted off the album, which debuted at #1 as well on the same chart.

The album is filled with banging bass, infectious synths, and catchy hooks, all the makings of perfect pop. This is the most fun and focused Britney has sounded since “In The Zone”, the Britney we knew before the media turmoil began to take place. The LP is like a party, when one song stops, the next picks up the pace and starts all over again, there is never time to slow down, that is until the end, when Britney slows it down with tracks like “Trip To Your Heart” and “Criminal”.

Britney channels her inner “Femme Fatale” throughout the album in tracks such as the Ke$ha written “Til The World Ends” and “How I Roll” in which she sings lyrics such as, “this kitten got your tongue tied in knots, I see,” and “you can be my fuck tonight, we can tear it up tonight,” and also makes it known that she has “9 lives like a kitty cat”. In songs such as "Criminal" and "Trouble For Me", Britney's voice sounds stronger, and melodic, and reminiscent of her vocals in "Sometimes" which shows an artistic side to Brit. She knows when to turn it on, and when to turn it off.

For fans and critics worldwide, “Femme Fatale” is sure to come out on top as winner. Britney and Dr. Luke, the Executive Producer of the project took a formula that worked, multiplied it by 100 and ran with it. “FF” is what “Blackout” would have been had Britney been in the right mind frame during that period of time.
